What will I need to do before I leave?
You will need to get a visa to travel to China. Do not over pack, Shanghai is a haven for world class shoppers and your salary at Longman School will enable you to satisfy your shopping needs. Most ATMs in Shanghai accept international credit cards as well as many ATM cards from western banks, so check with your bank before leaving.
What happens when I arrive?

When I arrive to teach English at Longman Schools Shanghai where will I be working?
Longman Schools Shanghai has multiple locations throughout the Shanghai metropolitan area for teaching English to young learners. After you arrive you will be assigned to a teaching location that will best fit your teaching skills.
What are my teaching hours?
Our standard contract is for 36 working hours per week, including an average of 16 teaching hours. Contract hours may vary with your teaching center but as a rule you will have two days off per week with the exception of the peak seasons.
How large will the classes be?
Generally the class sizes will not exceed 15 young learners. In the majority of classes you will be assisted by a local teaching assistant to help in class management issues and the like.
Does Longman Schools Shanghai have a dress code?
Longman School Shanghai is a professional English language institute for kids in Shanghai; therefore its entire staff is expected to adhere to a business casual dress code.
